Meet the team
Here at The Actor's Lounge we have a dedicated and passionate team working behind the scenes to make sure everything works smoothly for our students and teachers. Meet the team that makes the magic happen.
Abigail Boyd
Abigail Boyd is the heart and visionary behind The Actor’s Lounge, a space created to inspire, uplift, and empower actors and creatives on their journey, whatever their ability or goal. A passionate mentor with a deep love for the craft and a mischievous sense of humour, Abigail knows first-hand the joys and benefits of skills that acting can gift us, not just in the industry but in our lives in general.
A passionate connector at her core, Abigail creates the space for magical, human moments using the craft of acting as a vehicle for growth, fun and confidence.
A working actor and producer for many years, Abigail has experienced the industry from every angle on set, on stage, and behind the camera. Her work has given her a deep respect for the process, rigorous training, and the unseen graft and grit that builds a truly versatile “actor’s toolkit.” That journey fuels her commitment to process-led, growth-focused training where students are encouraged to push their comfort zones with courage, humility, and generosity.
What began as a simple idea to connect with fellow creatives in her local town and delve deep into the craft of acting has grown into a thriving organisation with many locations around the UK and supportive community where friendships are built for life. A journey that has been and is “an absolute joy and privilege “.
Abigail’s mission is simple: to break down barriers, provide actors with the tools and inspiration they need to succeed and remind them that their dreams are valid, their voices matter and their stories deserve to be told.

Felix Johnson
Felix trained at The New York Conservatory and has been working in TV, film, and theatre for over a decade. His credits include a starring role in the TV series Bronx SIU, alongside a wide range of other screen and stage projects. Since The Actor’s Lounge first opened, Felix has been teaching both screen and theatre acting, bringing a wealth of professional experience and a grounded, practical approach to the craft.
He is passionate about making acting feel accessible — both as an art form and as an industry — and finds it deeply rewarding to help others uncover their creative potential and grow in confidence. For Felix, teaching is not simply about passing on knowledge; it’s a shared exploration, rooted in connection, curiosity, and a mutual love of storytelling. He continually finds inspiration and fresh insight through the students he works with.
As Operations Support & Student Engagement Lead, Felix is at the heart of The Actor’s Lounge, ensuring every student’s journey — from first enquiry to Spotlight accreditation — is smooth, supportive, and inspiring. He connects the dots between students, tutors, and teams, sources venues that meet TAL’s high standards, schedules Showcases that allow every student to shine, and gathers feedback to drive continual improvement. His role bridges operational delivery with student experience, ensuring both run at the highest standard.

Ellis Parsley
Ellis is a Norfolk-based creative who will try just about anything creative once - and probably twice if it involves Greek mythology or a good Dungeons and Dragons campaign. Ellis brings a growth mindset to everything she does, from content creation and acting to learning history, Ellis is a proud Jack of All Trades with a ‘why not give it a go?’ attitude.
That curiosity is what led Ellis to The Actor’s Lounge, where she is continuing her acting training and loving every minute. Along the way, Ellis has worked with BBC The Social on youth-led segments, trained with the BFI, dived into festival work, performed at the Edinburgh Fringe and is studying Classics at the Open University.
When not in class, Ellis manages social media for The Actor’s Lounge, which means every post, response and story you see has a bit of her energy behind it. Ellis is here to cheer you on, share your wins and keep our feed as inspiring as our classes.

Helen Chubbock
Helen has been an English teacher at a local high school for over 28 years and in that time loved the challenge of creating a passion for literature among the students who she came into contact with over the years. During her time at the school, Helen had a variety of senior roles including leading school trips, being a Head of House and Safeguarding Lead. In her spare time, she indulges in her love for the arts and literature and can often be found at the theatre, reading a book or writing.
When looking to retire from teaching Helen discovered the wonderful world of The Actor’s Lounge and now works part-time as the Administration and Records Lead for the company.
Working behind the scenes to enable people who have a passion for the craft of acting to fulfil their dreams is truly inspiring and Helen is excited to be part of this creative community. She loves every minute of working at The Actor’s Lounge and enjoys being able to support the team, tutors and students to make the excitement and magic that each term brings a reality.

Jawad Rasheed
Jawad plays a vital role in keeping The Actor’s Lounge running smoothly behind the scenes. With a strong background in web development and IT support, he helps shape the school’s online presence and digital experience, ensuring that creativity flows as effortlessly online as it does in the classroom.
Passionate about problem-solving and innovation, Jawad enjoys using technology to make creative spaces thrive. He takes pride in supporting the team’s vision by maintaining the platforms that help artists learn, grow, and share their stories with the world.
His background is rooted in web development and technology, but what inspires him the most about working with The Actor’s Lounge is the community of artists and dreamers he gets to support. He loves finding ways to make our online platforms more intuitive, engaging, and accessible for everyone who visits or studies with us. For him, technology isn’t just about code and systems — it’s about connection, storytelling, and helping others shine.
